Investigators seek preventive arrest for owner of unlicensed care homes in Bihor
The lawyer for Viorel Pașca said that judges received a request for deprivation of liberty for his client in a case involving 210 persons considered injured but not yet identified.

The legal representative of Viorel Pașca stated on Thursday, at the entrance to the capital city court building, that law enforcement officials have filed a request for provisional incarceration against the businessman. The main charge concerns human trafficking and involves 210 individuals.
Răzvan Doseanu, who represents Pașca, highlighted an essential procedural aspect: the 210 persons mentioned in the indictment have not been found and identified up to this moment by those conducting the investigation. The lawyer argued that it is impossible to prepare a solid defence when the allegedly injured persons exist only on paper, without being able to be physically located.
The case concerns care centres for vulnerable persons in Bihor County, administered by the businessman. Conditions in these facilities came to the attention of authorities, and the investigation has now expanded to include the offence of human trafficking. This involves the recruitment, accommodation or transfer of an individual through various forms of coercion, with the aim of obtaining undue advantages.
