Prosecutors from DIICOT Hunedoara have requested the arrest of a young man accused of selling cocaine and cannabis in the area of a venue in Deva.

A young man aged 22 has been detained by law enforcement and is being investigated for offences relating to narcotic substances. Prosecutors from the Hunedoara territorial structure of DIICOT have requested the court issue a warrant for preventive arrest, according to Radio România.
The investigation indicates that, in the period March–May 2026, the suspect allegedly purchased, stored and distributed cocaine and cannabis in the vicinity of a pub in the city of Deva. The transactions were reportedly conducted at prices ranging between 100 and 1,000 lei.
Police managed to catch the individual at the moment when he had approximately 250 grammes of cocaine and 90 grammes of cannabis resin in his car, both intended for subsequent sale, according to statements from the Hunedoara County Police Inspectorate.
The investigation in this case is being conducted under the supervision of prosecutors specialising in anti-corruption and anti-drugs matters.
