A man from Aninoasa has been placed under preventive arrest for 30 days after striking his mother on the head, leaving her unconscious. The victim was transported to Petroșani Emergency Hospital.

A 42-year-old man from Aninoasa, Hunedoara County, was placed under preventive arrest on Friday for 30 days, after he allegedly physically assaulted his mother, according to radioromania.ro.
The incident was reported to police by an ambulance crew who found the victim in her residence, unconscious, with signs of assault to the head.
"From the initial checks carried out, police officers established that, following a spontaneous conflict, the woman was physically assaulted by her son, a 42-year-old man from Aninoasa, who allegedly struck her in the head area," transmitted the County Police Inspectorate (IPJ) Hunedoara, cited by Agerpres.
The woman was transported to Petroșani Emergency Hospital for specialised medical care.
Police officers opened a criminal file for the offence of domestic violence, and the court ordered the preventive arrest of the man for 30 days.
