Police officers from the Criminal Investigation Bureau of Râmnicu Vâlcea Municipal Police have completed their investigation in a particularly serious criminal case. A local man aged 47 has been charged with sexual abuse committed against a 67-year-old woman, who proved to be the aggressor's own mother.
According to an official statement released by IPJ Vâlcea in mid-June 2026, the acts took place on the evening of 9 June. At around 18:00, the suspect allegedly went to the woman's home, where, according to investigators, he forced her to engage in sexual relations against her will.
Law enforcement officers identified and detained the man for one day, after which the court issued a warrant for preventive arrest valid for 30 days. He is now in custody at the County Police Inspectorate's Retention and Preventive Arrest Centre.
