An individual from Tulcea County has been held in custody for one month, accused of deliberately driving his car into a van. The incident occurred on 6 June 2026, at approximately 17:30, on a street in the locality of Cataloi.
According to a statement issued by the Prosecutor's Office attached to Tulcea District Court, the accused was at the wheel of an unregistered car, without having the legal right to drive any category of vehicle. He accelerated head-on towards a parked van, causing damage estimated at 4,000 lei.
The prosecutor formulated a proposal for deprivation of liberty on 9 June 2026, and the magistrates approved the request. The investigation is coordinated by Rural Police Section I Tulcea, under direct supervision of the case prosecutor.
