A 40-year-old man holding a Moldovan passport was identified by border police officers at the Albița checkpoint whilst attempting to enter Romania. Law enforcement discovered several packages of controlled drugs in his vehicle.
According to a statement issued by the Romanian Border Police, the inspection took place during the day, and the officers' suspicions were confirmed following detailed checks carried out on the vehicle. The prohibited substances were concealed in various compartments of the car.
