Google News RO — Crime (ro) reports that DIICOT investigators are targeting ten people — nine men and one woman — being investigated for drug trafficking and carrying out operations with psychoactive substances in Arad county.
According to prosecutors, the suspects allegedly acquired, possessed, mediated and sold cannabis, as well as crystalline substances, including 3CMC, 4CMC and α-Ethylaminopentiophenone. Transactions allegedly took place for amounts between 100 and 1,400 lei.
The most serious aspect of the investigation involves the involvement of a 10-year-old child. A man and a woman, members of the same family, allegedly resorted to using the minor to sell cannabis to buyers.
On Wednesday, police carried out 14 house searches. Quantities of plant and crystalline substances were seized, including cannabis and α-Ethylaminopentiophenone, as well as grinders, precision scales, objects with traces of substance and sums of money.
Also on Wednesday, DIICOT prosecutors in Arad ordered the detention of all ten people. On Thursday, the judge for rights and freedoms at Arad Court decided on preventive detention for 30 days for seven of them. A woman received house arrest, also for 30 days.
