Cristian Pomohaci remanded in custody for high-risk drug trafficking at Mureș Court
Mureș Court has ordered the remand in custody of singer Cristian Pomohaci for 30 days, the second warrant issued within 24 hours. He is also being investigated for rape of minors.

Second remand warrant in 24 hours for Cristian Pomohaci
Mureș Court ordered on Friday the remand in custody for 30 days of singer Cristian Pomohaci, who is under investigation for high-risk drug trafficking, according to psnews.ro. This is the second remand warrant issued in his name in less than 24 hours.
By criminal ruling no. 45 of 5 June 2026, the judge for rights and freedoms at Mureș Court granted the proposal submitted by the Prosecution attached to the ICCJ — DIICOT, Târgu Mureș Territorial Service. The remand measure is valid for the period 5 June – 4 July 2026 inclusive.
The court rejected as unfounded the application made by the accused's chosen defence counsel for the remand to be replaced with house arrest, judicial supervision or judicial supervision under bail.
The ruling is not final and can be contested within 48 hours of pronouncement, in the case of the accused, or from notification, in the case of the prosecutor.
Mureș Court recalled that, regardless of the measures ordered, the accused benefit from the presumption of innocence, as provided for in article 4 paragraph (1) of the Code of Criminal Procedure.
Earlier warrant for rape of minors
A day earlier, Târgu Mureș Court issued a first remand warrant for 30 days, in a case file in which Pomohaci is being investigated for rape committed against a minor and sexual assault.
Mureș County Police Inspectorate specified that, in the period 2024–2026, the person in question allegedly took advantage of the vulnerable state of male minors, engaging in sexual relations with them in exchange for sums of money and other material benefits.
On 3 June 2026, officers from Mureș Criminal Investigation Service, under the coordination of the prosecutor in the case from the Prosecution attached to Târgu Mureș Court, carried out two home search warrants in Târgu Mureș municipality.
Following the searches, several sums of money in different currencies were discovered and seized, with their total value estimated at approximately 2 million euros, communicated by IPJ Mureș, cited by Agerpres.
