Prosecutors have ordered the defendant to be sent to trial for the offence of large-scale drug trafficking. The investigation was conducted by the central structure of the Directorate for the Investigation of Organised Crime and Terrorism.
During searches carried out at the residence of the former priest, law enforcement officers seized several pieces of evidence that would support the drug trafficking charge. DIICOT presented evidence to the court regarding his involvement in the sale of prohibited substances.
The case of Cristian Pomohaci had previously attracted public attention for other reasons, and he now faces serious charges of organised crime in the drugs sector. The proceedings will continue before the competent court of justice.
