Two Russian citizens sent to trial for fraudulently obtained Romanian identity documents
The General Prosecutor's Office has sent two Russian citizens from Moscow and St. Petersburg to trial, accused of document fraud. Both are untraceable and will be tried in absentia.

The General Prosecutor's Office has sent to trial, for the first time, two Russian citizens — one from Moscow, the other from St. Petersburg — for document fraud, according to ProTV News.
The two are accused of obtaining Romanian identity documents, namely a birth certificate, identity card and passport, based on a false Romanian citizenship certificate. The document was allegedly presented as issued by the Romanian Embassy in Bratislava, a claim that investigators consider false.
Since the authorities failed to establish their location, the two will be tried in absentia. The prosecutors are requesting, in addition to conviction, the annulment of all documents obtained fraudulently.
The case does not end here: another 14 Russian citizens, suspected of similar offences, are to be sent to trial by the Public Ministry.
