Prosecutors at DIICOT Târgu Mureș have detained two suspects — a man and a woman — who allegedly impregnated sheets of paper with prohibited substances and sent them by post, disguised as ordinary correspondence, to inmates in prisons located in Mureș, Arad and Hunedoara counties, according to Google News RO — Crime (ro).
Investigators have seized the intercepted letters, and a search carried out at the suspects' residence in Timișoara uncovered approximately 130 grams of cannabis and cocaine, as well as several fragments of paper impregnated with psychoactive substances.
The two are being investigated for trafficking in controlled and high-risk drugs, respectively for carrying out, without authorisation, operations with psychoactive substances.
