The false content specifies that a payment of 2,480 lei is necessary to restore functionality. Victims are directed to a page where they are asked to enter their credit card information.
The true objective of this scheme is the theft of financial data. Police recommend avoiding any payment on such websites and immediately closing the suspicious message.
Representatives of the MAI clarify that no public institution requests the payment of sanctions through web platforms. Citizens are encouraged to share this warning with close acquaintances to prevent the spread of the phenomenon.
