A 47-year-old man has been arrested on remand for 30 days after allegedly sexually assaulting a 13-year-old girl twice in a caravan near Sânpaul, Cluj.

A 47-year-old man has been arrested on remand for 30 days after allegedly sexually assaulting a 13-year-old girl twice in a caravan positioned on a meadow in Cluj County, according to Gândul.
The first incident is believed to have occurred in the night of 12 to 13 September, in the vicinity of the town of Sânpaul. According to investigators, the man allegedly forced the minor to engage in sexual acts, taking advantage of the close relationship between the two and the girl's state of vulnerability. The alleged incident took place after the suspect had consumed alcohol.
A second assault is believed to have occurred in the night of 7 to 8 October, in the same caravan and at the same location.
Following the gathering of evidence, police from the Criminal Investigation Bureau of Cluj-Napoca Police detained the suspect for 24 hours on Friday, 16 October, under the supervision of the case prosecutor.
On Saturday, the man was presented to the Cluj-Napoca Court, where prosecutors requested his preventive arrest. The court admitted the request and ordered the measure for 30 days.
The suspect is being investigated for rape of a minor and sexual assault of a minor. The investigation continues to establish all the circumstances in which the alleged acts occurred.
