13-year-old girl from Cluj sexually assaulted twice in a caravan by a 47-year-old man
A 47-year-old man has been remanded in custody for 30 days after allegedly sexually assaulting a 13-year-old minor on two separate nights in a caravan in Cluj County.

A 47-year-old man has been remanded in custody for 30 days after allegedly sexually assaulting a 13-year-old girl on two occasions inside a caravan situated on a pasture in Cluj County, according to Jurnalul.ro.
According to the Cluj County Police Inspectorate, the alleged acts took place in the countryside of Sânpaul locality in September and October 2026.
The first alleged assault occurred on the night of 12 to 13 September, when the man allegedly forced the minor to engage in sexual acts in the caravan. The investigation indicates that the act allegedly occurred whilst under the influence of alcohol, the suspect taking advantage of the girl's vulnerability and the close relationship between the two.
The second alleged assault occurred on the night of 7 to 8 October, in the same caravan, when the man allegedly engaged in sexual acts with the minor once again.
Detained and presented to court
Following investigations and evidence collected, police officers from the Criminal Investigation Bureau of Cluj-Napoca City Police ordered, on Friday, under the coordination of the case prosecutor, the detention of the man for 24 hours.
On Saturday, the suspect was presented to the Cluj-Napoca Court of Law with a request for remand in custody. The judge for rights and freedoms granted the request and ordered his remand for 30 days.
The man is being investigated for rape of a minor and sexual assault of a minor.
Investigations are continuing under the coordination of the case prosecutor, with a view to documenting all criminal activity.
