Judges in Brașov have issued a preventive arrest warrant against a 23-year-old individual. He is accused of unlawfully depriving a 11-year-old girl of her liberty in an incident that occurred at a fuel station in the city.
The incident occurred while the girl's mother was at the pump, filling petrol into the tank. The girl went alone to the facility's toilet block. There, a stranger closed the door of the cubicle, trapping the child inside.

The investigation shows that the perpetrator had no prior relationship with the victim. The two individuals did not know each other before the incident. The girl's rescue came when she began to scream. Her screams panicked the attacker, who fled the scene.
Police and prosecutors continue to investigate the case, and will determine whether the suspect has other similar offences in his past.
