A man and woman aged 31 and 28 have been detained in Brasov for trafficking in high-risk drugs and psychoactive substances. Two clients aged 23 required medical care after use. The suspect attempted to throw evidence out of the window.

On 2 July 2026, prosecutors from DIICOT – the territorial structure in Brasov initiated criminal proceedings against a couple consisting of a 28-year-old woman and a 31-year-old man. The two are suspected of having engaged in illegal trafficking of high-risk drugs and psychoactive substances during the period February–June 2026, in Brasov municipality, according to Cotidianul.
According to the indictment, the two defendants are alleged to have obtained, stored and sold banned substances in the form of chemically treated plants. These contained synthetic compounds such as MDMB-4en-PINACA, MDMB-INACA, 5F-ADB and MDMB-FUBINACA.
In February, the two suspects allegedly supplied such products to buyers aged 23. Following joint use of the substances, both individuals required specialised medical intervention. In the context of providing assistance and examining the scene, investigators collected quantities of MDMB-4en-PINACA.
Throughout the criminal investigation, judicial police officers and gendarmes seized numerous doses that the two were alleged to have offered for sale.
At the moment of the raid on the suspects' residence, investigators discovered approximately 60 packets with banned substances. They also seized items bearing traces of chemical compounds, documents, money in national currency and other evidentiary materials.
In an attempt to destroy the evidence, the man threw several packets out of the window of the room where food was being prepared.
Judges at Brasov Tribunal approved the prosecutors' request and issued a remand arrest warrant for both individuals.
The operation benefited from cooperation with police officers specialising in fighting organised crime in Brasov and agents of the Special Operations Service within the Brasov County Police Inspectorate.
The two are guaranteed the presumption of innocence throughout the duration of judicial proceedings.
