Prosecutors in Alba investigate disclosure of baccalaureate exam papers; 47 locations checked
Magistrates at the Prosecutor's Office attached to Alba County Tribunal are conducting a criminal investigation into the possible revelation of the content of written exam papers as part of the baccalaureate examination. The facts are being investigated under the aspect of the crime of communicating classified or non-public information, with the aim of jeopardising the integrity of the assessment.
On Thursday, 3 July 2026, after obtaining the necessary warrants from the competent court, the prosecutor on the case, accompanied by officers from the Economic Crime Investigation Service within the Alba County Police Inspectorate, carried out house searches at 47 points located in 5 counties: Alba, Arad, Bihor, Cluj and Sibiu. Targeted were the residences of private individuals without any special status.
The law enforcement forces involved in the operation benefited from the support of criminal investigation structures, public order, weapons-explosives-dangerous substances and special operations units from the counties mentioned, as well as gendarmerie units from Alba and Cluj.
