20-year-old Romanian arrested in Brașov on European warrant issued by Germany for armed robbery
A 20-year-old man from Brașov, sought by German authorities for organised armed robbery in aggravated form, has been detained by police. He is to be handed over to the judicial authorities in Germany.

A 20-year-old Romanian citizen was arrested in Brașov on 25 August, after the judicial authorities in Germany had issued a European arrest warrant in his name, according to News.ro. The young man is wanted for attempted organised or armed robbery in aggravated form, and for organised or armed robbery in aggravated form, offences provided for under the German penal code.
The identification was carried out by police officers from the Criminal Investigation Service in Brașov, following specific activities conducted by them. The European arrest warrant had been issued on 11 May by Kronach District Court in Germany.
The young man was detained for 24 hours, after which he was presented before the judge at the Brașov Court of Appeal. The court ordered his arrest for 15 days, pending the continuation of judicial proceedings relating to the European arrest warrant.
Upon completion of these proceedings, he is to be handed over to the judicial authorities in Germany, the country where he committed the offences.
