Seven remand orders issued after beatings in Victoria Square
Seven people involved in violence last week in Victoria Square have been remanded in custody, according to News.ro. The judge for rights and freedoms approved the prosecutors' proposals on Wednesday, ordering detention for 30 days.
Searches were carried out in Bucharest and 15 other counties, targeting 30 people. Of these, only 27 could be located. Of the 27 defendants, the magistrate approved remand orders for 10, but three of the orders had not been executed by the time the information was published.
The investigation is being conducted by the Prosecutor's Office attached to Bucharest Court of Law, in collaboration with police officers from the General Police Directorate of Bucharest Municipality — Violent Criminal Groups Unit and Criminal Investigation Unit.
