A woman was approached on a street in Bucharest by an individual who threatened her with a knife and forced her to go to a car park, where he sexually assaulted her, according to information published by TVRInfo.
The victim managed to escape after suggesting to the attacker that he go to her home address. Once she reached the building's stairwell, the woman blocked the man from entering and called the emergency number 112.
Law enforcement identified the suspect on a nearby street. Police pursued and detained the alleged perpetrator of the attack. The man was to be brought before judges with a recommendation for preventive arrest.
The case is being investigated by the competent authorities in the capital.
