18-year-old man arrested for 30 days after assaulting ex-girlfriend, a minor, in Constanța
An 18-year-old man from Constanța was remanded in custody for 30 days after assaulting a 14-year-old minor and vandalising a police vehicle.

An 18-year-old man was remanded in custody for 30 days on Friday following an incident on a street in the municipality of Constanța, reports G4Media, citing Mediafax. According to the Constanța County Police Inspectorate (IPJ Constanța), he allegedly physically assaulted a 14-year-old girl with whom he had been in a relationship.
The incident occurred on 8 October, when the man allegedly struck the minor in a public place. Police officers intervened on the spot and, following a risk assessment, determined that there was imminent danger to the girl's life, physical integrity and freedom.
"From investigations carried out by police officers, it emerged that on 8 October of this year, the man in question allegedly physically assaulted, on a street in the municipality of Constanța, a young girl aged 14, with whom he had been in a relationship," said the IPJ Constanța.
Police officers issued a temporary protection order, requiring the young man to maintain a minimum distance of 200 metres from the minor.
Upon the arrival of the police team, the girl's former boyfriend adopted aggressive behaviour towards law enforcement. He struck the police vehicle and broke the side mirror. "The 18-year-old man displayed aggressive behaviour and allegedly struck the police vehicle, causing damage by breaking the mirror," clarified the IPJ Constanța.
The man was initially held for 24 hours, after which he was brought before the court. The magistrates ordered the measure of remand in custody. He is to spend the next 30 days in the Constanța Detention and Preventive Arrest Centre.
