The Dolj authorities have dismantled a network comprising three people who intended to distribute psychoactive substances at a musical event organised in the Costinești resort. One of the members was detained whilst travelling by train towards the coastal area.

According to the case file prepared by DIICOT Craiova, in early July 2026, two men, one a minor and the other aged around 25, purchased approximately 30 grammes of 3CMC material. They travelled the distance between Sibiu and Hunedoara with the substances in their possession, selling them to a 21-year-old buyer for the sum of 3,500 lei. Because the customer did not have the money, he left his vehicle as collateral for a month.

The buyer then travelled towards the south-east of the country, with the intention of reaching the Black Sea port. On the night of 7 July, Transport police officers detected him carrying the narcotics during a train journey.

On 8 July, prosecutors authorised raids on two residences. Law enforcement officers found the remaining crystalline material in the vehicle that had been pledged as collateral.

The judges of the Dolj Court issued remand in custody orders for the three defendants on 9 July. They are accused of operations involving prohibited substances.

The operation was carried out with the participation of specialised units from Constanța and Alba Iulia, alongside Transport police officers.
