According to digi24.ro, police officers from the Gorj County Police Inspectorate announced on Thursday that the 83-year-old woman found dead in her home in Târgu Jiu had previously reported that she had been repeatedly threatened and assaulted by her daughter, aged 62.
Following the complaints, a provisional protection order was issued against the daughter. She told police officers that she would reside at another address for the duration covered by the order.
The elderly woman also stated that one of her grandsons had directed insulting words at her, but no physical violence was found to have occurred between her and them.
