A 17-year-old boy has been charged with attempted murder after he fired shots at a man and a woman in a stairwell in Alby last year when he was 16 years old. The man was hit in the leg but managed despite the injury to overpower the shooter and hold him until police arrived.
According to the indictment, which Aftonbladet has seen, the young perpetrator was severely assaulted during his arrest.
The prosecutor links the boy to a criminal network in Botkyrka. The man who was shot at is in turn linked to a rival gang. The woman who was in the stairwell escaped unharmed.
The incident is part of the gang violence that characterises the area. The trial against the 17-year-old defendant is expected to begin shortly.
