A man in his 60s is being held on suspicion of attempting to kill another person in the Nyfors district during the night.

A man born in the 1960s is being held in custody following an incident in Eskilstuna during the night into Wednesday. He is reasonably suspected of attempted murder.
The alert to the police came around midnight from a community centre located in the Nyfors district. Someone had called in to report that a fight was taking place inside the centre.
When the patrol arrived, they found a man in his 40s with injuries from a sharp object. According to the police, this is what is known as a defensive wound, but they are unwilling to comment on how serious the condition of the injured man is.
"We cannot release any details about the extent of the injuries at this time," says Michael Lindqvist, who is the duty officer at the East police region.
The arrested man was remanded in custody following questioning. The case is now being handled by a prosecutor who will decide whether the suspect should be requested to be held in custody pending trial.
