A man died following a brawl at a beach in Stenungsund. A total of eight people are suspected of involvement, three of whom are in custody.

In the night leading into Wednesday, 9 July, a brawl broke out at a beach in Stenungsund. It began with a verbal argument that subsequently escalated into physical violence. Two men sustained stab wounds and were taken by ambulance to hospital. One of them did not survive his injuries.
Three people are in custody, suspected of murder and attempted murder. Five additional people are detained in absentia. In total, eight people are suspected of involvement.
Senior prosecutor Sonja Seligmann stated in a press release that there are several witnesses to the incident and that many interviews remain to be conducted.
