A fraudster claiming to be a police officer has struck again in Simrishamn municipality. A man lost money following a telephone call lasting several hours.

Fraud in which perpetrators pose as police officers has occurred again in Simrishamn municipality. A man lost money following an extended telephone call with the fraudsters.
Previously, a similar attempted fraud occurred in which the caller claimed to be from the police. Now another incident has taken place, writes Ystads Allehanda.
The fraudster claimed he wanted to assist with cancelling a purchase and then transferred the call to an alleged security department at the man's bank. After the call had continued for several hours, the man discovered that money had disappeared from his account.
Authorities are warning again against persons who call claiming to work for the police or a bank.
