Fraud case against eighty-year-old man appealed to higher court
A woman who defrauded an eighty-year-old man of more than seven hundred thousand kronor and gave him narcotic drugs has chosen to appeal her sentence. The case will now be heard by the Court of Appeal.
When the crime was uncovered, everything fell into place for the man's son, who had previously been puzzled by changes in his father's behaviour and manner of speech.
"It was difficult to understand what he was saying on the phone. I wondered if perhaps he had started drinking more," the son explains.
He hopes that other people will learn from what happened to his father and be more alert to similar situations.
