Fire victim in Holsbybrunn identified – villa completely destroyed
A person was found dead in the ashes following a house fire in Holsbybrunn outside Hultsfred. Police confirm that it concerns a resident of the house.

A villa in Holsbybrunn, Vetlanda municipality, burned to the ground overnight into Sunday. A person has since been found dead in the remains, reports Sydsvenskan.
When the rescue service arrived, the house was fully engulfed and the fire had spread to such an extent that it could not be controlled. Police could then not rule out that someone was inside the house at the time the fire broke out.
On Tuesday, police confirmed that a death had been established in the fire remains. Vetlanda-Posten was first with the information.
– We can confirm that a person has died and we have notified relatives, says Mats Pettersson, police spokesperson.
According to Pettersson, it concerns the person who was resident in the villa. The house was completely destroyed when police reached the scene.
