Norwegian prosecutor: "Organises serious violent crimes from abroad"
Ali Namdar, 21, from Katrineholm is already detained in absentia by several Swedish district courts and is on Europol's list of most wanted criminals. Now Expressen reports that Norway has also issued a wanted notice for him.
Namdar is linked to the criminal network Foxtrot and is suspected in Sweden of incitement to attempted murder, conspiracy to commit murder, incitement to aggravated general destruction, and involvement of minors in criminal activity.
Oslo Police has identified him as the person who commissioned a grenade attack and two shootings on Norwegian soil. The Norwegian national criminal investigation police Kripos also state that he has attempted to recruit people for violent crimes via encrypted platforms.
– The suspicions relate to autumn and winter 2025, but it may be relevant to expand on that. We have seen activity against Norway even after this period, says Norwegian prosecutor Anja Perminow Stenersen.
Stenersen describes Namdar as a person with a "central role" in Foxtrot and as "strategically important" for the network.
– This is a person who we believe is based abroad and organising serious violent crimes, which constitute a serious threat to security in Norway. He has exploited children and young people to carry out the violent crimes, she says.
To NRK, Stenersen adds that Namdar could also come to be suspected of human trafficking.
From the Swedish side, an anonymous police inspector at NOA previously commented on the case to Expressen.
– Namdar is suspected of very serious criminal activity on a large scale and is moreover still active within this criminal activity. It is very important that he can be arrested and prosecuted, both for justice for victims but also to protect Swedish citizens, said the inspector.
