On Thursday, criminal technicians searched a jewellery shop on Möllevången in Malmö. The aim was to find traces of further unlawful business dealings. At the same time, three of the shop's representatives stand under suspicion of handling stolen goods, according to Sydsvenskan.
According to the investigation, the shop is said to have purchased gold items that were stolen in connection with a fraud against an elderly woman in Lund. The woman had been called the day before by someone claiming to represent an insurance company, but it was a scam. Thanks to a swift investigation operation, the thieves who sold the gold were also arrested.
