Knife attack at private party in Smålandsstenar – man arrested for attempted murder
A young man was injured with a sharp object during a gathering in Smålandsstenar. A person of the same age has been arrested and is now being held on suspicion of attempted murder.

At around 3:30 a.m. on the night leading into Sunday, emergency services and police were called to an address in Smålandsstenar. There, a man in his 20s had been injured with a cutting object in connection with a private outdoor gathering.
The injured man made his own way to another house where someone with medical experience was present. He was then transported to hospital by ambulance.
"He is likely to be discharged from hospital today," said Johnny Gustavsson of the police during the morning.
A man in the same age group was arrested in the vicinity shortly afterwards. He is now being held on probable cause on suspicion of attempted murder.
According to police information, the two men did not know each other previously. What caused the violent act remains unknown.
On Sunday morning, the crime scene was examined and police dogs searched the surrounding area.
