Woman dead in Hallsberg – 25-year-old man arrested suspected of murder
A woman was found dead in a flat in Hallsberg on Monday evening. A 25-year-old man was arrested at the scene and detained overnight on suspicion of murder.

A woman was found dead in a flat in Hallsberg on Monday evening, reports svt.se. Police have opened a preliminary investigation into murder and a 25-year-old man was detained overnight on suspicion of the crime.
Police patrols were called to the address following an alarm about a lifeless person. When they arrived, the woman was found to be dead.
"When we arrive we suspect the woman has been killed, we cannot rule out a crime," says Anders Dahlman, police press spokesman.
The man and woman were known to each other from before. According to Dahlman, they had some form of relationship, but he was unwilling to specify the nature of it.
The man was arrested at the scene and initially questioned by police. During the night into Tuesday, he was formally detained.
"He denies the crime," says prosecutor Gunnar Brodin.
Brodin states that the man will be questioned again during Tuesday, this time with his defence lawyer present.
The flat was cordoned off on Monday evening and police technicians carried out an initial crime scene investigation. A forensic examination will now establish the woman's cause of death.
On the same day, a dead woman was also found in Degerfors, where a 55-year-old man is suspected of murder. Police tell Nerikes allehanda that they see no connection between the two cases.
