Woman sentenced for repeated rapes of woman with disability

A woman in her 30s, who was previously a man, has been sentenced to six years in prison for multiple cases of rape and one case of sexual harassment, according to Expressen. The victim is a woman with a disability who is a close relative of the perpetrator.

The perpetrator and the crime victim had lived under the same roof for an extended period. However, the abuse only began after the perpetrator had moved out and subsequently returned. Using sweets, money, energy drinks and video games, the perpetrator lured the disabled woman into sexual acts and into sending nude photographs.

In the sentence, the court establishes that the perpetrator "subjected the complainant to emotional coercion in order to compel the complainant to do what she wanted". The crime continued for several years before it was discovered.

The court now sentences six years in prison for the combined crimes.
