Woman acquitted of weapons crime in Eksjö – hand grenade found in home
Eksjö district court acquits a woman of aggravated weapons crime after a hand grenade and tear gas pistol were found in her home in March.

District court: unclear that woman knew about weapons
A woman is acquitted of aggravated weapons crime after Eksjö district court established that it has not been proved that she was aware of the weapons found in her home, according to SVT Nyheter.
In March, police visited her residence following a welfare check call. During the search, a hand grenade and a tear gas pistol were found. The reason for the police visit was that the woman had been linked to Bandidos support group X-team, and that she had previously had a relationship with a man whom police associate with the criminal motorcycle club environment.
The district court states that the woman had not lived permanently in the home for any extended period, which makes it unclear whether she had knowledge of the weapons. She is therefore acquitted on all counts.
The woman had been remanded in custody since 18 March and was released during the main hearing at the end of September. Clothes from the Prison and Probation Service were also found in the residence, but the ruling provides no information about what happened to these.
