Woman released after suspected murder on boat in Askersund
The prosecutor has lifted the remand of a woman who was detained on suspicion of murdering a man following a boat trip in Askersund. The autopsy showed nothing indicating that the man was killed by anyone else.

A woman who was held in custody on suspicion of having killed a man during a boat excursion in Askersund has now been released. The prosecutor decided on Tuesday to lift the remand order.
The man died following a trip on a vessel on 24 June. Shortly afterwards, the woman was detained, as there were grounds to suspect her of manslaughter. Now the forensic examination of the body has changed the picture.
"The preliminary report from the autopsy provides no indications that anyone else caused the man's death," said senior prosecutor Clara Åbyhammar to SVT Nyheter.
Several further analyses are still ongoing and a definitive report will be issued at a later date. Although the woman has now left custody, the formal suspicion against her remains in place pending final results from the forensic investigation.
