Leaders in criminal network receive lengthy prison sentences
The court has sentenced two high-ranking members of a criminal group led by Roman Tryfonenko to lengthy prison terms. The offences concern extensive drug trafficking classified as particularly serious.
The two convicted individuals held key roles within the organisation – one as the leader's right-hand man and the other responsible for financial flows.
The verdict is part of the police strategy to dismantle Tryfonenko's network even while he himself remains in custody.
The 30-year-old Tryfonenko, identified as a gang leader, has been remanded in custody for over a year since he was brought from Canada to Sweden to face trial. Legal proceedings against him are ongoing in parallel.
The authorities have worked for a long time to weaken and fragment the criminal structure.
