A man was found seriously injured with stab wounds in a flat in Sköndal during the night into Wednesday. Police were alerted at 00.40 following a report that a person had been stabbed in the residence.
On arrival, officers found the man with serious injuries. Ambulance personnel carried out life-saving measures before he was taken to hospital.
Police opened a preliminary investigation into attempted murder. Shortly after 04.00, a 45-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of the offence.
The incident is being investigated by police in the Stockholm region.
