A man has been arrested and remanded in custody after another man was found dead outside a motel in Rosersberg during the night.

Shortly after midnight on Sunday, police received a call from Rosersberg in Sigtuna municipality. Outside a motel, a middle-aged man was found showing no signs of life. Rescue personnel who arrived at the scene were unable to restart his heart, and he was pronounced dead.
The injuries on the deceased person indicated that he had been subjected to a violent crime. Police then arrested a person in the area who is of similar age to the victim. The arrested individual was remanded in custody on Sunday on the stronger level of suspicion, suspected of having killed the man.
According to reports, the two men had had a relationship from before. The Public Prosecution Authority states that the preliminary investigation is still at an initial stage and that several leads are to be followed up.
