A 45-year-old man has died following an assault in Mölnlycke on Saturday evening. Police are investigating the case as murder and are searching for three young men who left the scene.

A 45-year-old man has died after being subjected to a serious assault in Mölnlycke in Härryda municipality on Saturday evening. The rescue service was called to the scene at around 10 p.m. The man was conscious at that time and was able to communicate, but was taken to hospital by ambulance. Despite the efforts, his life could not be saved, and at around half past midnight on Sunday, the medical staff confirmed that the man had died. His family has been informed.
Police are treating the case as murder. Press spokesperson Emelie Lundqvist states that there were people who witnessed what happened and that they will be interviewed.
Three men, all in their twenties, were observed running from the area after the incident. No one has yet been arrested, but police are actively working to trace the suspected perpetrators. It is currently unclear whether any weapon or implement was used.
