A young man in his 20s died following a violent incident at the Hawaii beach in Stenungsund. Two people have been arrested on suspicion of lethal violence and attempted murder.

A man in his 20s lost his life following a violent incident at the Hawaii beach in Stenungsund during the night into Saturday. A second person was injured and was taken together with the deceased to Kungälv hospital by someone in a private car.
Police have placed two men of the same age group in custody. They are suspected of having killed one man and attempted to kill another. The incident occurred when a group of people became involved in a fight at the beach.
During the night and morning, police cordoned off a large area from the car park down to the water so that forensic technicians could secure evidence.
Despite the lethal violence during the night, beachgoers returned to the rocks during Saturday. Many of them had no idea what had taken place just hours earlier.
Christopher Hansson, duty commander at the police in Fyrbodal, announced in the evening that investigation work was proceeding intensively and that technical examinations were being carried out at the scene.
