A man in his 30s is arrested suspected of murdering a man in his 55s in Märsta, according to omni.se. The incident occurred on Sunday morning.
Police were called to a residential building after residents heard screaming. When the patrol arrived, the older man was found seriously injured.
– Both the patrol and ambulance initiated life-saving measures, but without success. This man died at the scene, says Daniel Wikdahl, press spokesperson at Stockholm Police.
The suspected 30-year-old was found in the same building and arrested at the scene. Police also brought in another person for questioning.
– That person is not arrested and not suspected of any crime at this time. A person who may have important witness information, says Wikdahl.
The two men are understood to have no family relation. Whether they knew each other remains unclear.
– We regard this as an isolated incident, says Daniel Wikdahl.
The crime scene is cordoned off. Police are conducting technical examination and interviews, including with residents of the building. Seizures have been made, but Wikdahl does not wish to disclose what these relate to.
