A man has been taken to hospital after being injured with a sharp object in Farsta in south Stockholm during the night into Sunday, according to SVT Nyheter. Police have confirmed to TT that a preliminary investigation into suspected attempted murder has been opened.
– There has been a conflict between two adult men that escalated, says Carina Skagerlind, police spokesperson.
An extensive police operation was underway in the area during the night. The injured man was able to speak with police as he was being taken to hospital. The crime took place outdoors and a technical examination was conducted at the scene.
By seven o'clock on Sunday morning, no one had been arrested, but Skagerlind said that police have a good understanding of how events unfolded. There are witnesses and surveillance cameras in the area have captured the incident.
– We have a good feeling that we will be able to make an arrest, says Skagerlind.
