It was during the night into Friday that police were called to a residential address in Fålhagen after a person was found dead. The circumstances at the scene were such that a crime could not be ruled out, which led to a murder investigation being initiated and the residence being cordoned off.
According to prosecutor Sara Sundström, it was the suspected person themselves who called the police. Sundström also states that the suspected person and the deceased lived together.
On Friday afternoon, the arrest was lifted.
– The criminal suspicions remain and the person is reasonably suspected. But there were not sufficient grounds to request that the person be remanded in custody, says Sara Sundström.
The forensic examination is expected to be carried out later in the week. Sundström emphasises that there were no external signs of the person being killed.
– I am awaiting the forensic examination and will make a new decision after that, says Sundström.
