A man was stabbed in Farsta in Stockholm around 11 p.m., reports Aftonbladet. Images from the scene show cordons on a street, and several witnesses report that a helicopter flew over the area during the night.

A witness tells Aftonbladet that the man collapsed on the street and was taken away by ambulance.

– He held his stomach and said something like: "Ouch ouch ouch, he stabbed me. Help, I'm bleeding", the witness reports.

Police duty chief Jenny Rydberg confirmed after 4 a.m. that an investigation into attempted murder has been launched.

– There is no danger to the public, says Rydberg.

She does not wish to comment on whether anyone has been arrested or is suspected. According to a source, however, there was no person in custody during the night. Police searched with dogs and forensic technicians were at the scene. An ambulance helicopter also landed in the area. Police left the scene shortly before 3 a.m.
