Early on Tuesday, shortly before seven o'clock, police were called to an address in Västerås after a member of the public discovered a dead person. The incident is now being investigated as a murder.
Police technicians have cordoned off certain areas of the scene to carry out a crime scene investigation. At the same time, investigators are conducting door-to-door enquiries in the surrounding area to gather witness statements.
When the crime may have taken place remains unclear, according to Stefan Larsson, spokesperson for the Mitt police region. A suspected perpetrator has been taken into custody.
