A multi-family house in Norrköping was hit by gunfire on Wednesday evening. The incident was reported to police at 22.15 after residents in the vicinity had heard loud bangs.
When police arrived at the address, they could see that a window in the building had been shot at. Several people were in the building at the time, but no one was injured.
According to Martina Gradian, a police spokesperson, it is believed to be an attempted murder.
"We suspect that the perpetrator intended to kill someone," she told Aftonbladet.
Police have not yet been able to establish whether the intended target was at home in the flat. The investigation work includes interviews with witnesses, door-to-door inquiries in the neighbourhood and examination of any surveillance footage.
No one has yet been arrested for the act.
