Former Hells Angels leader held wife as sex slave for three years
A woman in Kramfors began a relationship with Tomas Runsten, who had previously been a leader within Hells Angels. What started as a romantic relationship soon developed into something entirely different. Her existence became increasingly restricted and isolated.
Runsten began drugging the woman and selling her to other men. He transformed into what she described as "the Monster" – a personality that took over when violence against her was inflicted. Victim support counsel Silvia Ingolfsdottir describes it as his dark self that emerged.
For three years the woman was kept confined in what became a house of horrors. Finally she managed to get out. After a dramatic escape she was able to contact the police and report what she had been subjected to.
The incident has also become a documentary titled "The Monster in Kramfors".
