Two men arrested for money laundering after banknotes found in underwear near Höör

Two men were arrested during the night before Wednesday outside Höör after police found several hundred thousand kronor hidden in an unusual location during a vehicle check, reported Expressen with reference to Sydsvenskan.
Police stopped the car after the men aroused suspicion. In their incident report, police noted that the men "appeared nervous", which led to a decision to conduct a body search.
The money was not found in any traditional hiding place – not under the seat, in the boot, or in a bag – but in underwear on one of the men.
The two men, reported to be in their 30s to 60s, were arrested on suspicion of money laundering. The duty investigation officer at Lund Police commented on the incident to Sydsvenskan on Wednesday morning: "It is with us now and then we'll see where it leads to."
On its website, police confirmed that the men have been arrested and that the case is now being handled by the prosecutor.
