Two people suspected of serious unlawful intelligence activities in Sweden
The Swedish prosecution authority has requested that two people be remanded in custody on suspicion of serious unlawful intelligence activities against the state. They were already arrested on Wednesday.
On Friday afternoon, detention hearings are being held in Stockholm District Court, where it will be decided whether the suspects should be held in custody during the investigation. The authority that has informed of the case has not disclosed the citizenship of those arrested or details about what type of intelligence activities are involved.
The preliminary investigation is led by deputy chief prosecutor Henrik Olin, who works at the prosecution authority's national unit for security matters. He has not commented on the case to media before the court proceedings and does not intend to do so afterwards.
